Everything bout Elizabeth Mintun is, well, calming.

You can listen to just one minute of her podcast, The Calming Ground, and be soothed into a comforted state of relaxation. And when I met her to learn about her expertise, I knew I had met someone I could learn a ton from.

I take a walk in nature nearly every day. Truly. There’s hardly a day I miss because I am a nature addict. I need the trees, water, fresh air, sunlight, wildlife. I come alive with the distant sound of a woodpecker. I find peace following the trail of those who walked before me. I imagine what life was like before all the noise, transportation, and industrialization.

And I can get lost often at the most inconvenient times…just ask my husband! 😂

Forest Bathing, though, is an art form and healing modality in one and I just needed to learn more.

I hope you are inspired to look around your home, streets, and area to seek out nature. No matter how big or small…something is better than nothing!

Elizabeth Mintun, MA, MSW, LISW-S is a psychotherapist and mindful life coach. Elizabeth has a psychotherapy private practice in Columbus, Ohio.
